Students from Year 2 and 3 at Mother of God School, Ardeer, have just launched their first book.

Simply Stunning Stories is a collection of stories written and illustrated by the students in conjunction with an author. ‘I am so proud of the students who created this book,’ said writer in residence Heather Gallagher. ‘It’s something you’ll keep and treasure, and maybe one day you’ll even show your own children what you created when you were a child.’
 

Joining the students, teachers and family members at the launch was Cr Bruce Lancashire, Mayor of the Brimbank City Council, and Nick Gabb, Education Partnerships Coordinator at Ardoch. The five-week Writer in Residence program was supported by Ardoch, continuing their long partnership with the school.

At the launch, students had the opportunity to share their stories. Each student received a copy of the book, and additional copies are available at Brimbank City Council libraries.
