Grow, lead and serve
14 June 2024
A new Catholic secondary campus has opened in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer northern suburbs.
Expanding the existing Marymede Catholic College, South Morang, the new campus has opened in Doreen. The Ein Karem Learning Centre is the first of many buildings on the growing campus. The initial stage of the campus includes the learning centre, comprising general learning areas; spaces catering for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics; breakout spaces and staff amenities, as well as construction of a new soccer pitch.
‘Our college’s mission is inspired by our Catholic faith tradition, and we are called to nourish, nurture, challenge and celebrate our diverse community in an adaptive and aspirational environment’, said Principal Timothy Newcomb. ‘Our vision sees students experience the fullness of life, and aspire to grow, lead and serve.’
The new campus is located close to Marymede Catholic College’s early learning centre and St Paul the Apostle Catholic Primary School, Doreen, giving families the opportunity to choose a Catholic education from early learning through to the senior secondary years.
The campus was officially opened by Rob Mitchell MP, Member for McEwen. The college is thankful for an Australian Government grant of $5 million.
