Role Description/Criteria

The position

We are looking for a passionate and experienced educator to join our dedicated team, teaching VCE Applied Computing and other technology subjects. This is a full-time, fixed-term position for Term 3 only commencing 21 July 2025 to cover a period of long service leave.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Contribute to creating a dynamic learning environment by using diverse teaching styles and approaches to meet individual learning needs
  • Apply effective pedagogical methods to support students' academic, spiritual, and emotional growth
  • Use a range of strategies to successfully deliver the curriculum
  • Engage actively in the School’s pastoral care system, upholding Loreto values
  • Foster a positive learning environment through the implementation of clear strategies and expectations
  • Ensure a child-safe environment for all students
  • Participate fully in school life beyond the classroom

About You

To be successful in this position, it is essential that you have:

  • Current Teaching Registration (Victorian Institute of Teaching)
  • Proven expertise and knowledge in teaching VCE Applied Computing
  • An ability to teach other technology subjects across Years 7 to 10 
  • A collaborative approach with colleagues in planning and delivering curriculum 
  • Proven experience in establishing and fostering relationships with students, staff and parents
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated desire to apply a growth mindset to professional development
