Role Description/Criteria

Instrumental Music Teacher – Voice

Aquinas College is a Catholic Secondary College in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne with an enrolment of over 1700. 

We wish to appoint a dynamic, suitably qualified musician to the position of Classroom Music Teacher and Instrumental Music Teacher – Voice.  This is a 0.2 - 0.4 FTE fixed term 12 month position. 

The successful applicant:

  • Will have the ability to teach Voice 
  • Will be willing to teach individual as well as small group lessons
  • Will be comfortable teaching Year 7 – 12 students including VCE groups and solo students
  • Will have the ability to facilitate and conduct large core ensembles, and small extension vocal ensembles (multiple part harmony)
  • Will participate in school music events as required from time to time
  • Will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children
  • Will have excellent communication skills
  • Will have the ability to work successfully within a team
