Role Description/Criteria
We are seeking an energetic, dynamic and enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about The Arts, Sustainability, and Indigenous Perspectives. The ideal candidate will foster a learning environment that is engaging, inspiring, and make learning visible for every child.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a beautiful learning space, and includes a variety of outdoor learning spaces such as a covered deck, vegetable garden, and sensory garden.
The position has an allocation of 0.4 FTE, and the successful applicant will be required to work on a Tuesday and Wednesday.
The role will involve:
- the planning and implementation of the Victorian Curriculum in The Arts, Sustainability and Indigenous perspectives - your passion may drive this alongside curriculum
- An interest in urban farming, growing, harvesting and cooking.
- Collaboration with teachers/specialist teachers and leaders throughout the school
- Reporting and assessment

- Strong communication and organisational skills
- committed educator to lead students in rich, inquiry-based learning experiences that foster a deep sense of place, purpose, and stewardship
- Design and deliver engaging programs that integrate local history, Indigenous perspectives, sustainability, and community engagement, supporting students to build meaningful connections with the world around them.
- Differentiated learning for students according to their educational needs and abilities and the ability to create effective rich assessment tasks
- Work collaboratively as part of our team to for our Art show and School Production alternate years
- A commitment to creating an environment where the emotional, social and educational wellbeing of students is paramount
- Encourage student voice and action through hands-on learning, excursions, outdoor exploration, and reflection
- A willingness to build positive relationships and purposefully engage families in their child's learning
- Support school initiatives in sustainability, environmental education, and community partnerships
- Have knowledge or interest in Indigenous perspectives and environmental stewardship and foster understanding of local Indigenous culture, histories, and connections to Country
