Role Description/Criteria

The role will be 0.8 FTE (negotiable) over 4 days with the possibilty of fulltime with an additional role should a suitable applicant wish to work FTE 1.0

Work in partnership with teachers to implement aspects of learning for students including:
 

  • working collaboratively (co-teach) with the classroom teacher to support student learning
  • leading small group instruction
  • training and use of Mini-Lit and MaqLit
  • working collaboratively with the classroom teacher to support assessment for learning of students
  • planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating learning, with the classroom teacher and students
  • using and promoting effective teaching practices that engage and enhance student learning and achievement.
  • providing feedback regarding student learning to classroom teachers and leadership team on a regular basis
  • planning for individual needs working with students across classrooms when appropriate, analysing data to make judgement on where students are, where they are going to and how they will get there using the Mini-Lit resources
  • attending PLC meetings with staff after school Tuesday and Thursday
  • collecting data on the students they are working with to share with the class teacher
  • being aware of PLP goals for any students that you may be working with and plan accordingly
  • contributing to the ongoing National Consistent Collection of Data and communication of this to the Learning Diversity, Welbeing Leader
  • promoting school mindsets and SMM school values within the teaching
