Role Description/Criteria

At St Kevin’s, we’re more than just a school—we’re a learning community built on strong relationships, shared purpose, and a deep commitment to every child's growth.

We’re seeking a passionate and reflective teacher to join our team: someone who brings warmth, professionalism and a love of learning and who is eager to contribute to a school culture where both students and staff are supported to thrive.

St Kevin’s is a place where:

  • Teaching is informed by evidence and guided by a deep respect for how children learn best.
  • Teachers work collaboratively to design meaningful, purposeful and well-structured learning experiences.
  • We value both strong instruction and deep thinking — recognising that learning is most powerful when it is explicit, engaging, and connected.
  • Staff are encouraged to grow professionally through coaching, collaboration and a shared commitment to continually improving our practice.
  • Diversity is embraced and celebrated. We are a multicultural, inclusive school that lives out the Gospel through compassion, service and welcome.
  • Relationships come first. We believe in the power of kindness, trust and high expectations — for ourselves and for our learners.

This role would suit a teacher who:

  • Is committed to nurturing the whole child — academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.
  • Values clarity and structure in their teaching, while also seeing the importance of curiosity, ownership and critical thinking.
  • Wants to be part of a dynamic team that is shaping a shared and evolving vision for learning and teaching.
  • Has a willingness to learn, reflect and grow alongside others.

For more information, visit [school website] or contact our principal, Jason Micallef, at [contact info].

Special Requirements:

  • A current VIT registration is required.
  • A commitment to child safety and well-being is essential.
  • Accreditation to teach in a Catholic school is preferred
  • A strong commitment to the Catholic identity of the school is required.

School tours are available for prospective applicants on Wednesday mornings at 9:30am or by appointment. Please call the office on 9709 8600 for more information.

We reserve the right to interview and appoint a successful applicant before the application closing date.
