29 October 2021

Schools around Australia are celebrating the great work done by our amazing teachers on World Teachers Day.

Taking place each year on the last Friday in October, World Teachers Day is a chance for everyone to thank teachers for the positive impact they have on our world. In the past 18 months, their commitment has included adapting to support students through periods of remote learning.

Students from across the Archdiocese of Melbourne have contributed to a special message which has been sent to teachers in all Catholic schools in Melbourne. Thank you to students from the following schools who shared their reflections for our special message: Avila College, Mount Waverley, Holy Trinity School, Wantirna South, John Paul College, Frankston, Killester College, Springvale, Mount St Joseph Girls’ College, Altona, Our Lady of Fatima School, Rosebud, Penola Catholic College, Broadmeadows, Sacred Heart Girls’ College, Hughesdale, Santa Maria College, Northcote, Ss Peter & Paul’s School, Doncaster East, St Andrew’s School, Werribee, St Brigid’s School, Gisborne, St James’ School, Brighton, St James the Apostle School, Hoppers Crossing North, St Kevin’s School, Templestowe Lower, St Martin de Porres School, Laverton, St Peter’s School, Clayton, St Thomas the Apostle School, Blackburn, and Thomas Carr College, Tarneit.
